Pope Shenouda III delivered this speech in Arabic at St Mark’s Cathedral during the International Week of Prayer for Christian Unity, 1974. This English translation by Samir M. Hakim was published in the Coptic Church Review in 1985, to celebrate Pope Shenouda’s release from house arrest.
